Medical Surgical RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Pennsylvania
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Weekend coverage: every other weekend
• No call required
• Floating may be required to other departments
• May care for COVID patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Schedule Expectations

• Must work 2 of 3 major holiday periods if the contract spans all three; if it spans only 2, must work 1 of 2
• Maximum requested time off: 7 days
• Holiday coverage as needed

Unit Focus

• General medical/surgical patients, including hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, and bowel obstructions

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Most recent resume/application
• Background check and state-specific screening requirements
• Education verification
• Drug test
• Fit testing for patient-facing staff
• Health screening and immunization documentation
• Signed facility documents and onboarding modules before start
