Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years experience, EPIC proficiency, and a compact RN or PA license.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, bowel obstructions, and general medical/surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other departments as needed
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license, must be Compact or PA license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with gastrointestinal, respiratory, IV therapy, genitourinary/renal, neurological, and cardiac monitoring skills preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Required to work 2 of the next 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), or 1 of 2 if contract spans only two
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates may be offered a reduced rate
• Travel pairs accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
