PCU Travel/Contract RN

Overview

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 14 weeks
Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Expected to work 3 of 5 winter holidays

Unit Details

Stroke PCU assignment
May float to other PCUs if needed
Weekend requirement: 5 to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Med Surg experience
Telemetry experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

ICU experience
Neuro/stroke experience

Compliance and Onboarding

Background check
Education verification
Drug screening
Physical exam
Fit mask
TB screening
Immunization and vaccine documentation
Two supervisor references
Employment application with explanation of gaps over 30 days
Work history verification for 7 years of employment
Skills checklist
Competency testing and unit-specific exams
EKG exam and annual EKG competency certification
Pass/fail testing for EKG and medication/pharmacology where applicable
