Role

• PCU RN for Open Heart Progressive Care (6 Front Pod B)
• Travel/Contract assignment in Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule

• Night shift: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekdays, every other weekend
• 36 or 48-hour contract options
• 36 hours guaranteed

Unit / Setting

• 29-bed progressive care unit for post-op open heart and other cardiothoracic post-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Accepts Med/Surg overflow
• Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with chest tube insertion assistance, management and removal
• Central line experience
• External/internal pacemakers experience
• Wound vacs experience

Additional Notes

• Every other weekend is required
• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
• Limit holiday RTO requests to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
• Orientation is held every other week on Thursday
• 100-mile radius rule applies; 75–99 miles may be sent for facility approval
