Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN position in Cartersville, Georgia.
• Hospital float pool role expected to float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00.
• Every other weekend.
• No call.
• Locals accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• One completed travel assignment.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ED - Emergency Department experience.
• Med Surg experience.
• Telemetry experience.
• Must be flexible to facility scheduling; no schedule requests can be accommodated.
• Full compliance required to start on time.
• Photo ID.
• Background check completed before start.
• Education verification of related degree.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray.
• TB Questionnaire.
• Drug screen within 60 days of start.
• Flu vaccine or declination.
• 2 clinical references.
• Skills checklist within 12 months.
• Verification of most recent employer.

Assignment Notes

• Float scope is within facility/scope of practice, including ED.
• Up to 1:7 ratios in Med-Surg.
• Maximum RTO is 7 days.
• If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it; if two, both; if three, two of the three.
• Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length.
