Dental Hygienist

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Columbia, South Carolina
13-week assignment
Day shift, Monday through Friday
No weekends
39 hours per week
Locals within 25 miles are allowed

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM–12:30 PM
Closed on major holidays

Responsibilities

Perform routine dental prophylaxis
Remove hard and soft deposits and stains from teeth
Polish teeth
Apply topical fluoride
Expose and develop radiographs
Provide oral hygiene instruction and counseling
Provide nutrition and dietary counseling
Make and confirm appointments
Review medical and dental history
Take and record blood pressure
Chart dental disease
Train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision
Use Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
South Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist license
Dental Hygienist experience within the last year
1 year of Dental Hygienist experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
