Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Spokane, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Block Schedules: Not required
Float: Yes, nurse will float between units

Unit & Patient Population

• Neurology unit experience preferred
• Comfort with NIH Stroke Scale, neurology diagnoses, and neurosurgery patients required

• Teaching hospital

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required for travel nurses, updated annually
• Immunizations/vaccinations:

  • TDAP within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months (instant acceptable)

Background & Verification

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• Education verification required for nursing degree
• Employment application covering last 5 years (7 years for APN/subcontractors)
• Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• WA State Patrol Search required within 90 days of start for Washington placements
• Other state-specific and facility-specific background checks as applicable

Competencies & Training

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually
• Epic charting system training required (transcripts must be submitted)
• Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) required
• Float policy acknowledgment required
