Job Details

Position: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Orange, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Unit: High Acuity ICU (float to DSU unit as needed)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
Scheduling: No scheduling requests due to outside employment considered; block scheduling at manager discretion
Floating: May float up to 100% of shifts within like units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in California
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

Work History: Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format; explanation for gaps or overlaps required
Skills Checklist: Annual update required for applicable units
Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required before start
Epic Charting System: Experience with Epic required; candidates must complete Epic training modules as assigned
Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
