Job Summary

• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Unit Type: Cardiac Telemetry
• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Unit Beds: 16 with average daily census of 16
• Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Call: None
• Holidays: Expected to work 1-2 major holidays depending on assignment length
• Orientation: Bi-weekly; must be fully compliant to start on time or start delayed by 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in charge nurse roles preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification
• Education Verification: Related degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
• Physical Exam: Required within 12 months prior to start
• Drug Screen: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start (includes Amphetamines, Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates, Cocaine, Opiates, Methadone, PCP, Propoxyphene, THC)
• Immunizations & Health Documents:

  • TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months or proof of positive with negative chest x-ray within 6 months
  • TB Questionnaire updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccine or signed declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• References: 2 clinical references required
• Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
• Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing

• Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR communication
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Return to Office (RTO) Notice: Maximum 7 days; blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Clinical Screening: Candidates reviewed for clinical fit before final manager decision
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Non-Billable Orientation hours depend on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Candidate must review and sign facility Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start.
• If multiple major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work most of them as specified.
