Job Opportunity: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Nurse
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- May float to units with similar acuity
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal-Newborn nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- IV start skills
- Labor and Delivery experience
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
Certifications & Training Notes
- ACLS certification may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- PALS certification required for ER, ER OB, and ER Psych units
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually
- NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit; must be obtained within 1 year of start and renewed every 2 years if applicable
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required
Additional Information

- Candidates may be required to sign confidentiality, ethics, and compliance policies annually
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
- Fingerprinting results must be submitted with all pages for adjudication if there are any hits, including dismissed charges
- Candidates with gaps in employment over 30 days with this facility may require updated health documents and drug testing
This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized postpartum/mother-baby care setting with a reputable healthcare facility in Ohio. The role requires strong clinical skills in postpartum nursing, labor & delivery experience, and proficiency with EPIC. Compliance with extensive credentialing, background checks, and health requirements is mandatory.
