CT Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 17:00 - 5:30)
• Hours per week: 36
• Block scheduling and weekend requirements depend on unit needs
• No on-call required
• Average daily census: 450 patients
• Floating to sister facilities possible within the region

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT certification
• Experience working with Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patient populations
• Experience in an Acute Care setting

Facility & Work Environment

• Acute Care Hospital, Level II Adult Trauma Center
• Total staffed beds: 514
• Scrub policy: Solid-colored scrubs only, matching top and bottom, no logos or prints
• Charting system: Sunrise EMR
• Free parking with decal provided at orientation

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including international searches
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 90 days of start
• Monthly HHS/OIG checks required
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting must be completed if no prior clearance exists; clearance can take up to 10 days)
• Education verification required; candidates from certain disqualified institutions will not be accepted
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start (valid for 5 years once on file)
• Fit mask test required within 12 months prior to start (strict shaving policy; PAPR not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 3 months of start (QGold or 2 negative PPDs accepted; Tspot not accepted)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Required immunization titers within 5 years of start: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (quantitative titers required; immunization records not accepted)
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests)
• Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with facility-specific exemption forms submitted by deadline

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references from managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors within the last year
• Photo for badge: Clear, passport-style with solid white background, no filters
• Radiation badge monitoring form required prior to start
• Facility-specific documents to complete: Job Description Acknowledgement, Confidentiality Agreement, iCARE Values, Badge Form
• Auto insurance required if providing home health services
