Work Schedule

Night shift options:
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Every other weekend required
Float within scope of practice required
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of current Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience

Required Licenses & Certifications

Valid Kentucky RN license or compact RN license
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RN specialties except OR and Psych)

Required Skills & Competencies

Experience with Meditech EMR system
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for all units except Psych, OR, Rehab, and true Med Surg)
Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, and III)
Competency Exam renewed annually as applicable

Orientation & Training

Orientation occurs bi-weekly
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required

Health & Compliance Requirements

Annual physical exam or physician note stating clearance to work without restrictions
Fit mask test completed onsite (PAPRs not accommodated; religious/medical exemptions reviewed onsite)
Immunizations and documentation required prior to start:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Td not accepted; declinations acceptable if within 1 year)
- Negative TB test (QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year; T-Spot/PPD not accepted)
- TB Questionnaire if positive TB history
- Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination (declination must be within 1 year)
- Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
Drug testing within 30 days of start using specified 9-panel bundle (no THC) with expanded opiates and oxycodone; annual updates required

Background & Verification

Comprehensive background check including:
- National criminal search, sex offender, fugitive, violent offender databases
- County searches for all counties in last 7 years
- FACIS 3 or equivalent, SAM (EPLS), OIG, OMIG, OFAC
- Social Security verification
Education verification included in background or third-party verification
NURSYS verification for RN license prior to start
Work history verification covering 7 years, run through a third-party vendor (attestation letters acceptable if verification attempts exhausted)
Two professional references within 1 year of start date required (one must be a supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for one reference)
Employment application/resume with education and work history required
Annual skills checklist required

Additional Requirements

Must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered
Assignment confirmation must be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Driver’s license and government-issued photo ID required for submission
Must comply with facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, employee health attestations, fit test policy, badge instructions, and proof of completion for required health screenings and vaccinations

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with float nursing assignments
Experience with MEDITECH EMR system

Staffing ratios may fluctuate based on census and call-ins
Schedule is based on a 36/48 hour pay period unless otherwise noted
