Registered Nurse - Step Down

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: 3x12 hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Step Down unit. This is a travel contract position with locals accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced rate.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Step Down nursing experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Certification)
Basic Dysrhythmia Exam
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

Background checks including national criminal, state, county, SSN trace, sex offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
Education verification with official transcript or diploma
Primary source verification of certifications and licenses (including NURSYS for RN)
Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
Fit mask testing completed onsite
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, updated annually; additional requirements if positive TB history
Immunizations or proof of immunity/declination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
Drug screen within 30 days of start (not required annually)
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
References: 2 professional references within 3 years of start
Employment application, skills checklist, and work history verification required
Missouri-specific EDL search within 30 days of start
