Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• ICU Registered Nurse position with shifts from 1900 to 0730.
• Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required, totaling 6 weekend shifts per contract.
• Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) as needed.
• Holiday rotation as needed.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, with ICU experience within the last year.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
  • EKG Rhythm Interpretation competency
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of background checks including criminal history, education verification, and drug screening.
• Physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable diseases.
• Annual N95 fit test (or on-site fit test if needed).
• Immunization and health documentation including:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start date.
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Night shift (1900-0730) with 36 or 48 hours per week options.
• Floating to various units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, and IMC.
• Weekend and holiday rotations required.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared to complete all required competency exams and certifications prior to start.
• This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration.
