Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Med Surg (3 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and manage patient care using the nursing process
- Assess patients, develop and update individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Complete required documentation, including patient charts and event reports
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care and collaborate with the care team from admission through discharge
- Perform bedside lab testing and obtain lab specimens as needed
- Support patient and staff safety, including use of lift equipment when applicable
- Delegate tasks appropriately and provide goal-focused shift reports
- Educate patients and families using age-appropriate teaching strategies
