Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under accepted practice standards set by the state Board of Nursing.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including ongoing health data collection and assessment.
Performs health teaching and counseling, and provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
Documents in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.
