Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT - Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed
Setting: Pediatric care preferred; previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred


Job Description

  • Provide respiratory therapy services under general supervision for all appropriate pediatric age levels and areas served by the department
  • Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff
  • Record treatment information and patient responses in electronic medical records
  • Serve as a resource to medical staff
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients
  • Ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned, maintained, and properly documented
  • Participate as a member of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Oklahoma
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within the last year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
