CT Technologist (Contract) - New York, NY
Job Summary
- Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
- Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
- Inject patients with radioactive material following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
- Maintain documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests adhering to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
- Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity level on delivery day.
- May perform x-ray work during overnight shifts.
Work Schedule
- Overnight shift, Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
- Approximately 14 hours per week.
Contract Length
- 9 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Current CT certification.
- Current CT injection certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
