Rotating weekends and on-call duties

Unit Information

Unit Type: Adult ICU, PCU, ER, and general floors
Number of Beds: 260
Staff per Shift: Minimum 1 team lead and 2 respiratory therapists on both day and night shifts
Patient Ratios: 30-45 points
Equipment Used: GE860 ventilators, Hamilton C1 ventilators, Philips V60 ventilators, EPOC devices
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Dress Code: Black scrub pants and olive green scrub shirt

Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis
Bronchoscopy assistance
Patient transport

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Experience working with adult patients
