Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Contract
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirements: No on-call required
Unit Overview
- Level 3-4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- 97 beds
- Approximately 200 staff members
- Night shift primarily staffed by RNs and 1 clerk
- Patient ratio: 3-4 patients per RN
- Equipment includes Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, GE monitors
- Electronic Medical Record systems: CPN, Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP), BLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required
- Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate personality fit
Additional Information
- Dress code: Navy scrubs only; no nail polish or artificial nails allowed
- No on-call duties during the contract
- The unit values experienced NICU nurses familiar with typical NICU procedures and equipment
