Registered Nurse (Home Health RN)

Location: Bardstown, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide home health nursing care for adult patients in Nelson, Spencer, and southern Bullett counties (no mileage pay).
• Case manage roughly 30 adult patients, completing approximately 6.5 points per day.
• Responsible for start of care (SOC), recertifications, and daily visits.
• No clinical involvement beyond nursing care; profiles go directly to the manager for consideration.

Work Schedule

• Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
• Weekend shifts required depending on nurse rotation; typical weekend hours 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Participate in holiday rotation.
• No on-call requirements.
• Orientation includes 2 weeks with a preceptor and a few visits with a work coach.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Home Health setting, with Home Health experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg floor experience in a hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Homecare Homebase charting system

Additional Information

• Manage only home health patients (no hospice coverage).
• No experience required with home ventilators.
• Scrubs required; no specific color mandated.
• Phone and tablet provided for required equipment.
