Acute Care 1 (Med Surg) RN

Location

  • Americus, Georgia

Contract

  • 13 weeks
  • Nights
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour shifts

Unit

  • Acute Care
  • 36 beds

Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital medsurg units
  • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility based on the address on the traveler’s driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS

Schedule and Work Setting

  • Every other weekend required
  • Holidays required
  • Telemetry
  • Charge nurse present
  • Nurse aides present
  • Hospitalist in house 24/7
  • RT available 24/7
  • Floating occasionally
  • 3-shift floor orientation

Patient Population

  • CHF
  • COPD
  • ESRD
  • Pneumonia
  • Renal failure
  • Sickle cell crisis
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Bariatric surgery
  • AMS
  • Sepsis

Additional Notes

  • Scrub color: white tops, hunter green pants
