Assignment Details

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Primary unit: PCU
• 24 beds
• Ratios: 1:3-4

Required Qualifications

• PCU experience
• RN license
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Unit Information

• Common patient types include pneumonia, ARDS, Covid-19 infection, HTN urgency, angina, cardiac cath patients, and ETOH withdrawal
• RN titration of drips is required
• Common titratable or set-rate drips include amiodarone, diltiazem, dopamine, nitroglycerin, Lasix, and dobutamine
• Remote monitor techs are used with RN approval
• 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor coverage
• Nurse aides are on the unit at a 1:10 ratio
• Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend
• 2 of the winter holidays
• Standby may be required if extra staff are available
• Floating is required

Float Scope

• Primary facility is St Francis Hospital
• May float within Region I to St. Anne Hospital in Burien and Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle
