Job Description

• Day shift with on-call rotation (weeknights, weekends, and holidays)
• Call frequency: 1-2 weeknights and 1 weekend per month
• Utilize nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluation of care
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, and state laws
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments
• Manage patient safety, complex situations, and delegate appropriately
• Engage in professional development and continuous learning
• Support and participate in peer review and feedback
• Maintain timely patient flow and perform telephone triage (for clinic and ambulatory RNs)

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 3 years RN experience, including 1 year critical care experience
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Current Wisconsin or Compact RN licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Successful completion of EKG test
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
