Location: Rockford, Illinois

Specialty

• Nursing (Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU)
• Extensive Cardiac experience required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Current Illinois RN License
• CPR
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Experience

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, and state laws
• Document care according to standards
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity
• Apply critical thinking for patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately
