Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Floating: Required to float within skillset
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:7
• Unit: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (assigned at time of offer)
• Local Candidates: RN candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
• Acute care experience within the past 6 months
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP, TNCC, EFM, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience, including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and Rapid Response/Code team activation
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Tech Cert Verification - National
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)

Requirements & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start
• References and employment verification as required

Additional Notes

• Must submit scheduling and time-off requests upon application
• The client may cancel up to three shifts during the contract without penalty
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white

This position is ideal for RNs with acute care experience who are comfortable working night shifts on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit and meet New York state licensing requirements.
