NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Level III NICU care for infants 23 weeks and up
Experience with surgical NICU patients, cooling therapy, all respiratory modes
Skilled in PICC line management, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, swallow studies, and line insertion
Float responsibilities include pediatrics, PICU, and nursery units

Shift Details

Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
No call required
Every other weekend off

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Additional Requirements

Must complete competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology and EKG/dysrhythmia competency if required
ICU & MS/Telemetry RNs at this location must pass an onsite EKG exam after start
Required to review and sign facility policies including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and others prior to start
TB screening questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider within 90 days of start, renewed annually
References: 2 professional references within 3 years for clinical acute care candidates
