Description
NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Level III NICU care for infants 23 weeks and up
- Experience with surgical NICU patients, cooling therapy, all respiratory modes
- Skilled in PICC line management, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, swallow studies, and line insertion
- Float responsibilities include pediatrics, PICU, and nursery units
Shift Details
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- No call required
- Every other weekend off
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology and EKG/dysrhythmia competency if required
- ICU & MS/Telemetry RNs at this location must pass an onsite EKG exam after start
- Required to review and sign facility policies including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and others prior to start
- TB screening questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years for clinical acute care candidates
