Job Description

• Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room (ER)
• Night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Indiana
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC, or equivalent with written test and skills demonstration)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC, or equivalent with written test and skills demonstration)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA or ARC, or equivalent with written test and skills demonstration)
• Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exam
• Successful completion of competency exam
• Background checks including:

  • SSN Trace, Counties, States, Federal, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level 1
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification (Diploma or Transcript accepted)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (not required every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-Step PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or titer proof
  • Hepatitis B: 3 vaccines with positive titer, positive titer alone, or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or titer proof
• Drug testing: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant accepted)
• Annual completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements, including:

  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • Confidentiality Statement
  • Attestation of Eligibility
  • Self Learning Orientation Packet
  • Computer Based Learning Modules (1-2 hours, assigned ~2 weeks prior to start)
• Two professional references from the past 3 years
• Annual skills checklist

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination is recommended but not required
• COVID vaccination/documentation is not required but preferred if available
• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
