Travel Registered Nurse – Dialysis
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), totaling 36 hours per week
- On Call: Yes
- Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
- Charting System: Epic
- Local Radius Rule: Must live more than 75 miles from the contracted facility (locals not accepted)
- Time Off Restrictions: No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 2 years of dialysis experience, including Hemodialysis (HD) and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)
- Dialysis experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License and a recent Utility Bill in candidate’s name with matching address (address must be outside 75-mile radius)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check (statewide and nationwide) within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and OFAC sanctions list checks, updated monthly
- Education verification with transcript/diploma matching highest degree
- Health documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year stating good health and no physical limitations
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Immunizations/vaccinations including MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Flu seasonal vaccine (or approved exemption), and COVID vaccination strongly preferred
- Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana, within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Fit testing (N95 mask) to be completed onsite prior to or on first day
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and training modules, including Patient Care Orientation and Epic training if no recent experience
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing required
- References: Two former direct supervisor references required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)
- Employment history verification covering 10 years, including explanations for gaps over 30 days
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific acknowledgments and policy forms prior to start (e.g., Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, Information Access Agreement)
- Must complete fingerprinting and state-specific screening clearance prior to start
- Must attend Patient Care Orientation Class (skills) and Epic training if no Epic experience within last 6 months
- Must comply with all annual competency exams and certifications as required by the facility

- Prior travel experience is not required for this assignment
