Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Durham, North Carolina
Facility Type: Short term acute care hospital, major teaching hospital, Level I trauma center
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Description
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- First-time travelers accepted
- Work environment includes nationally ranked specialties and high-performing procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
- Experience with EPIC charting system
Additional Information
- Locals accepted within 75 miles (local rate applies)
- Candidate must complete all required online modules before orientation
- Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card training provided onsite if not already held
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) required within 12 months of start
- Facility provides orientation week with detailed instructions sent prior to start
- Candidate must upload all required documentation and certifications before clearance
Summary
This is a night shift travel contract for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of specialty experience. The role requires multiple certifications, immunizations, and compliance with extensive background and health screening. The facility is a large, nationally recognized teaching hospital with a Level I trauma center designation. First-time travel therapists are welcome to apply.
