Job Overview

  • Location: Athens, Georgia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Contract length: 12 weeks
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
  • Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
  • Georgia state license required
  • CRT not accepted

Required Certifications

  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP
  • EFM / AWHONN
  • National certification verification, if applicable

Compliance and Start Requirements

  • Full compliance is required to start on time
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off
  • Must work assigned major holidays based on the number of holidays that fall during the assignment
  • Background check must be complete before start
  • Education verification is required and may be pending at start with proof it is in progress
  • Photo ID required
  • Skills checklist required within 12 months and updated annually
  • Work history verification of most recent employer required and may be pending at start with proof it is in progress
  • 2 clinical references required
  • Color-blind testing required
  • Physical exam required by the staffing agency
  • TB questionnaire required for all candidates
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within 12 months of start
  • Drug screen required within 60 days of start
  • Flu vaccine or declination required
  • Tdap is highly recommended but not required

Additional Notes

  • Clinical screening is used to determine fit before manager review
  • Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length
