Rehab RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Location: Charleston, West Virginia
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekly hours: 36 or 48 hours accepted
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

• 24-bed medical rehabilitation unit
• Patient population includes cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputees, spinal cord injuries, deconditioning, and neurological diseases
• Therapy works with patients 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday
• Typical length of stay is about 2 weeks

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Weekdays and every other weekend
• Floating required within scope as needed
• No call requirement
• Block schedule requests may be accommodated
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Rehabilitation experience within the last year
• 1 year of rehabilitation experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Tdap vaccination required
• Negative TB test required
• Drug screen required
• Annual skills checklist required for the specialty
• One manager, supervisor, or charge nurse reference required from a facility worked within 1 year of start

Preferred

• Acute care rehab experience
• Charge experience

Compliance and Onboarding

• Candidate must submit required credentialing documents before start, including license verification and identity documentation
• Orientation is held every other week on Thursday
• Annual fit testing is required
• Annual physical exam is required
• COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory
