Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Oregon City, Oregon
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-time travelers are accepted

Schedule and Work Setting

• Weekend coverage is required every other or every third weekend
• No on-call requirement
• No block scheduling
• Floating may be required based on unit needs and skill set

Clinical Details

• Labor and delivery assignment
• Expected ratios: 1:1 in labor, 3:1 postpartum

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Driver's License

Additional Requirements

• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Must be willing to float to other units and facilities as needed
• A float policy acknowledgement is required
• Annual regulatory modules are required
• Fit mask clearance is required for travel starts
• Respirator clearance is required
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
• Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Facility Notes

• Short-term acute care setting
• 109 staffed beds
• Epic is used for charting
• Parking is free
• Scrubs are any color, with provided scrubs for OR, critical care, ED, and maternal child areas

Housing / Lodging

• Hotel may be offered if floating consecutive shifts
• This is at additional cost
