Job Opportunity: RN CVICU Pediatrics - FS

Job Description

Provide nursing care under general supervision to pediatric patients in a hospital setting, including those with cardiovascular intensive care needs. Responsibilities include:

• Managing an assigned group of patients
• Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
• Assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
• Administering medications, IV infusions, and blood products
• Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
• Making referrals and delegating tasks to support staff

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in the specialty

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association

Skills

• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills
