RN Oncology - Surgical

Location

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract

13 weeks
36 hours per week
12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma
Oncology experience within the last year
Surgical Oncology experience
Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
ONS or ONCC
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients with a range of health problems
Manage an assigned group of patients
Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
Assist with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
Monitor patient physiological data and intervene when necessary
Administer medications
Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and discharge
Make referrals for patient care needs
Delegate tasks to support staff
