Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab - Massachusetts (Salem)

Position Details

• Specialty: RN Cath Lab (Cardiac Catheterization Lab)
• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with 7 on-call nights per month, including one full weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and 4 additional nights during the month
• Unit Description: Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) lab with 2 rooms. Procedures include PCI, Impella, balloon pump, device implants, ablations, etc.
• Patient Population: Adult
• EMR System: EPIC - Cupid
• Floating: Not required

Experience & Skills Required

• Years of Experience: Minimum 4+ years in specialty (Cath/EP Lab)
• Required Skills:

  • Cath/EP Lab experience
  • Interventional cardiac nursing
  • Scrub experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Required License: Active Massachusetts RN License (MA Conditional Licenses NOT accepted)
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association only)
  • BLS (American Heart Association only)
• Additional Certifications Preferred:

  • Tdap (preferred, not required)
• Note: Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing licenses

Health & Compliance Requirements

• N95 Fit Test (within 365 days of start date, updated annually; no religious exemptions)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
• Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray documentation
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)

Background & Credentialing Requirements

• Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• National Sex Offender Check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years addresses/employment/schooling
• Submission of 2 recent references (minimum 1 supervisor or above in skillset)
• Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state required for submission

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience indicated
