Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Every other weekend required
No on-call duties

Work Environment & Systems

Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner OneChart
Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Ascension EKG Exam (passing score ≥ 80%, max 2 attempts, updated every 3 years)

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Ascension Resume/Profile and 2 professional references required prior to submission
Signed Assignment Agreement required prior to onboarding
Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within 1 year, updated every 3 years, minimum 80% passing score
Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
Ascension Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules (non-allied positions)
Ascension Cerner Test-Out with signed attestation
Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no filters)
Ascension Criminal Background Check (7-year search including SSN trace, OIG, National Sex Offender, updated annually)
Ascension EPLS check within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days
Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty, completed within 1 year, updated annually
Ascension Education Verification within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days
Ascension Confirmation of Assignment and Employment Verification required at onboarding and updates with extensions

Holiday commitment required for elevated rate
Driver’s license or state ID must be current and match address on file
