Radiation Therapist Job Opportunity

Location: Clovis, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Description

• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Program is required.
• Work with advanced radiation therapy technology including Accuray CyberKnife, Varian TrueBeam, Elekta Infinities, and a High Dose Rate (HDR) suite.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team delivering advanced patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year.
• ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT(T)) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Required Experience

• Minimum years of experience in Radiation Therapy: Not explicitly stated (assume standard for certified Radiation Therapist).

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Proof of immunizations or immunity for:

  • MMR (2 immunizations or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (3 vaccinations or positive antibody titer)
  • Varicella (2 immunizations or positive titer)
  • Tdap (within past 10 years)
• Negative TB test within 30 days of start (skin test, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-spot), updated annually.
• Health statement signed within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions, updated annually.
• Drug screen (10-panel standard) within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Influenza vaccine required seasonally (October–March), with medical/religious exemptions considered.
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster proof or approved exemption (optional).
• COVID test required on start date for clinical staff (optional).
• Fit test to be completed onsite on start date (optional).

Professional and Background Requirements

• Resume/profile submission required.
• Two professional references required (at least one supervisory).
• Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including:

  • 7-year county and national check
  • SSN trace
  • Employment verification (last 5 years)
  • OFAC, OIG, EPLS, National Sex Offender, and Medi-Cal exclusion list checks, updated annually.
• Confirmation of assignment/job description matching order details, updated with each extension.
• Signed acknowledgments for policy packet, dispute resolution agreement, confidentiality, and ROI for MyChart.
• Badge photo with neutral background, no facial jewelry.
• Attestation regarding any Do Not Rehire/Send (DNS) records from prior 3 years.
• Clinical skills checklist completed within 1 year of start.
