Overview

• Travel/Contract role in New Orleans, Louisiana
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Floating may include other ICUs and SDUs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Cardiac monitoring experience
• Central Venous Pressure Monitoring experience
• Post cardiac surgery patient care experience
• Pre/Post cardiac catheterization intervention experience
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy experience
• IV Therapy experience including blood product administration, central line management, and PICC line management
• Drip titration experience
• Chest tube insertion and removal care experience
• Ventilated patient care experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• Liver, kidney, or pancreas transplant recovery experience
• High acuity ICU experience
• LVAD/RVAD experience
• Heart transplant recovery experience
• Lung transplant recovery experience

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team until the event passes
• Backfill for a move from MICU to SICU
