Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Seward, Alaska
- Long Term Care Facility
- 40 staffed beds
- 1:20 ratio
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: traveler’s choice of 13 or 26 weeks
- Shift: 4x12 variable; days or nights based on facility needs
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
- Charting: ECS
- Scrub color: any
- Parking is free
- Facility will arrange shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the contract
- Local shuttle available in Seward
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in Alaska
- Long Term Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Previous travel experience required
- 1 year of experience
- First timers not accepted
- No pending license accepted
- Locals not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Schedule / Assignment Notes
- Caregivers are not asked to rotate between day and night shifts, except for occasional urgent staffing needs
- On-call is not required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Block scheduling is not available
RTO / Holiday Expectations
- No more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract
- Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s
- Preference is for travelers willing and able to work any holidays
- All RTO must be submitted with the application
- RTO will not be considered if requested after an offer or after signing the contract
Additional Requirements
- Alaska Food Worker Certification must be obtained during onsite orientation
- 2 references are required, covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application is required and must include at least the last 5 years of employment
- Background check, education verification, and state-specific screening requirements apply
- Fit mask clearance, drug screening, and health documentation are required for travel starts
- Annual regulatory modules are required
