Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in Aurora, Colorado.
Unit: Postpartum patients who do not need ICU level of care.
32 beds.
High-risk patient population.

Schedule

Rotating shifts with various days of the week.
Option for nights only.
12-hour shifts, 4x12.
Call required per unit needs.
Weekend requirement per unit needs.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Valid RN license in Colorado.
Post Partum (1 year of experience).
Post Partum experience within the last year.
One completed travel assignment.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI.
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
Antepartum patient with Fetal Monitoring experience.

Preferred / Helpful Experience

Antepartum patient care with fetal monitoring experience.

Clinical Details

Typical ratios: 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients.
Newborn patients who do not need NICU level of care.
2000 gm and above.
Late preterm.
Substance-exposed newborns.
Phototherapy.
Magnesium drips.
Insulin drips.
Heparin drips.
PCA and PCEA pumps.
Breastfeeding support for postpartum patients.

Additional Notes

Charting system: Epic.
Scrub color: Navy blue.
