Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Ohio
• 16-week assignment
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• May be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both if accepting a 12D/N rotating contract
• No set or blocked scheduling requests
• Variable weekends based on unit needs
• Staffing ratio aims for 1:4 and may be adjusted to 1:5

Unit / Clinical Focus

• Med Surg/Tele oncology unit
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses
• Common diagnoses include endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers
• Treatments and procedures include chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, neobladder care, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance, and feeding tube care
• Heavy focus on infection prevention and patient falls management
• Uses telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Ability to administer chemotherapy treatments and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Experience with specialized oncology procedures such as brachytherapy
• Experience with neobladder care
• Ability to monitor telemetry readings, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions
• Experience with feeding tube care and management
• Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line maintenance

Preferred

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification
