Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Manchester, New Hampshire
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric experience

Unit Details

• Fast-paced emergency department with a strong pediatric population
• Average daily census: 70
• Approximately 160 visits per day
• 36 rooms
• 50 beds

Responsibilities and Patient Mix

• Care for emergency patients across the lifespan, including adult and pediatric cases
• May float to ICU and ED for helping hands support
• May assist with patient sitting
• Will not take patients outside their clinical assignment or team

Common Diagnoses and Procedures

• Diagnoses may include minor injuries, fractures, abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, trauma, psychiatric emergencies, substance use disorder, sepsis, and GI/GU/OB concerns
• Procedures and activations may include conscious sedation, trauma alerts, stroke alerts, cath lab activation, and SANE consultation

• Travelers who have ever been former employees at any facility associated with Solution Health are not considered
• Local travelers within 50 miles of the facility have a reduced rate
• Any color scrubs are allowed
