Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Anchorage, Alaska
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12s
- Start: ASAP
- First-time travelers accepted
- May float to like units as needed
- Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend, depending on staffing
- Block scheduling is not available
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Guaranteed hours: 60 per 2 weeks, with possible call-off of 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- Co-care/virtual nursing model with bedside RN, virtual RN, and CNA
- Bedside RN to patient ratio: 1:6
- Virtual nurse supports admissions, discharge education, care plans, education, CIWA, and MD follow-up
- Patient population includes surgical, medical, cancer-related, lung, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder cases
