Overview
- Location: Rochester, New York
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Unit size: 12 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 on all shifts
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to medical-surgical
- Local candidates: Not accepted if within 75 miles
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience
- Experience with Epic
Unit Details
- Common patient needs include DKA, acute respiratory support, alcohol withdrawal, sepsis, and intensive nursing care
- Equipment used includes CADDS and PCA pumps
