Job Overview

  • Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
  • Location: Charleston, South Carolina
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-Call: Not required
  • Floating: May float within scope depending on experience
  • First-Timers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU with 2 years of experience
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience working with Neonate patients
  • Experience working with Infant patients

Schedule Notes

  • Holiday rotation required
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated with prior approval, but is not guaranteed

Work Environment

  • Pediatric/NICU Level 4 and pediatric cardiac setting
  • Teaching hospital
  • Magnet and Level 1 Trauma facility

Additional Considerations

  • Locals are accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • Radius rule applies: 60 miles
  • RTO must be submitted at time of application for approval based on unit needs
  • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Epic experience is preferred

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

  • 2 clinical references required
  • Background check required
  • Education verification required
  • Physical exam required
  • Fit test required before start and annually
  • Tdap required within 10 years or declination
  • TB testing or chest X-ray required
  • Drug screen required within 90 days of start
  • Flu documentation required during flu season, or approved exemption
  • COVID vaccination is preferred, or declination form if not provided
