Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Indianapolis, Indiana
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Weekends preferred
- Call required
- Floating required to multi-specialty and all surgeries
- Indiana residents are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience in Operating Room
- Operating Room experience within the last year
- 2 years of transplant experience
- Kidney transplant experience
- Liver transplant experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Regulatory charting for transplants
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Call: 40–60 hours per 6-week period
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Guaranteed hours vary by shift pattern; this posting lists 36 hours per week for 3x12s
Unit Information
- Abdominal transplant OR
- Procedures include kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants
- Pediatric transplants are not part of this assignment
Compliance and Pre-Start Items
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required
- Drug screen within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- References: 2 recent employment references required
- Employment application must be current and explain gaps of 30 days or more
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start and annually
- Background check and license verification required before start
- Orientation and facility-specific compliance documents required before start
