Overview
- Travel/contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- 48 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- Block scheduling requests may be approved based on unit need
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Wound Care experience within the last year, with 1 year of experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
- Correctional experience
- Addiction Medicine experience
- Must be able to pass the facility background check
- Must be able to work 2 of the 3 holiday bundles
- Must be able to sustain being on your feet for 80% of the shift
- No locals within 100 miles
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- Night shift staff complete 1 detox round and 1 MOUD round
- Primary assignment is in addictions medicine, with coverage across posts in the correctional setting as needed
Patient Population
- Substance use and withdrawal care, including OUD, ETOH, and polysubstance use
- Responsibilities include assessments, monitoring, detox medication administration, Suboxone inductions, and Methadone medication pass

- Smoke-free facility with no designated smoking areas
- Cerner charting
- Black scrubs
- Parking is free
Compliance and Onboarding
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or documentation required year-round
- COVID vaccination is optional
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history
- Skills checklist required
- Work history verification required
- Fingerprinting is required onsite during orientation
- PREA training must be completed before start
- Background release authorization must be completed within 48 hours of signing
Additional Notes
- RTO greater than 7 days needs approval
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week, with the facility allowed to call off 3 times during the 13-week assignment
- Overtime applies after 48 hours on contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
