Case Manager (Travel/Contract)

Location: Bellevue, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Travel/contract position as a Case Manager.
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
• Start date: ASAP, any Monday.
• Must be available with a maximum 5-day return to office (RTO) notice. Blocked scheduling requests are not accepted.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Case Management experience.
• Experience in Case Management and Care Management roles within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Acute Care experience required.
• Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred.

Certifications & Competencies

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred for Emergency Room nurses.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required only if working in mother-baby or labor & delivery units.
• NIH Stroke Certification required for Critical Care Unit, Float Pool, and Emergency Department nurses.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required.
• Competency exams with minimum passing score of 85% required annually (Core Parts I, II, III, OSHA Mandatory).
• IV Therapy/Infusion Exam required if working in IV therapy.

Licensure & Documentation

• Copy of professional nursing license preferred (hard copy not mandatory).
• Primary source verification of state license required.
• Government-issued photo ID and Social Security number documentation required.
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including federal, statewide, nationwide, and international searches if applicable.
• Washington State Patrol and court search results required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (QGold, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs). Positive TB test requires additional documentation.
• Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, proof of series, or declination)
• Tdap vaccine highly preferred or declination accepted.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required year-round.
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests acceptable).

Additional Requirements

• At least two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including evaluation of clinical competency and reliability. References must be from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse.
• Employment application copy required.
• Completion of facility-specific modules and trainings after orientation, including:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Applicant Disclosure Statement
  • Confidentiality Policy
  • Appearance and Dress Code review
  • CMS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) training annually
  • Internet Usage Agreement
• Compliance with facility health requirements form and checklist.
• IV certification will be completed onsite if applicable.

• Candidates must be able to comply with all documentation and credentialing requirements prior to start.
• Facility monitors completion of assigned modules; failure to complete may result in removal from schedule.
